The Parchment: a Legal Romance.

Tina was a young, hard-nosed Crown-Prosecutor who did not back down from a fight.  This day however would not be the case.  When she saw Louis, Tina could not concentrate on her job.  Louis was a defense lawyer, who looked like a male model at the age of forty.
Every time, Tina had to fight with Louis in court she struggled and would lose the case.  This annoyed Tina very much and told him how she felt.  One night, after a hard day’s work she found a note on her front door.  She opened the envelope and started reading the note.  The note was written on parchment with a fountain pen.
The note said:
Dearest Tina:
I know we are fighting each other in court but I can not stop thinking of you and how beautiful you are.  I am falling in love with you.
Louis
Tina thought this was just a ploy in until a few weeks after the trial she found another note of a similar nature.  Pretty soon she was taking by the letters and found herself falling in love with Louis.  Every night, Tina would be thinking of Louis.  One morning, Tina went to Louis’s law firm to see Louis.  Louis was pleasantly surprised to see Tina and they hold each other.  Still holding each other, the two shared a tender kiss.
After a few months of romance, Louis and Tina went their separate ways.  Soon things went back to normal.  However, Tina would look at the letters and remember the man that made her happy, if not for a while.

Gwendolyn and Alfred: a legal romance

Alfred was a crooked lawyer who has had bad luck from the start of his career.  He would lose every case and was made fun of because of his gargoyle looks.  Alfred was hunched over and his clean shaven face was paralyzed on one side.  Not a single person would give him a chance except for one young woman: Gwendolyn Trudy Monroe.
Gwendolyn Monroe was the youngest judge in Canada at the age 25.  She was known for her beauty, short curly blonde hair, and her kindness.  She first presided over a case that involved Alfred.  Gwen knew about the bad luck he has had and started ruling in his favor.  She would do this whenever she saw Alfred in her courtroom.  At first Gwendolyn did it out of pity but she started to love in love with him.
Gwendolyn and Alfred would meet after everyone left the courtroom and then they met at his law firm.  They kept their relationship and courtship a secret for fear of ridicule.  Every time Alfred saw Gwendolyn or was with Gwendolyn, the more he fell in love.  He thought he would never find love in his lifetime. Their relationship lasted one year before Gwendolyn was killed in a car accident.
When Gwendolyn died, Alfred wanted answers.  He wanted to know what really happened and asked for an autopsy.  This is when he found out that Gwendolyn was carrying his unborn baby.  With this new information, Alfred grieved and gave up his law practice.  Lots of things would remind him of his beloved Gwendolyn.  Soon, Alfred started writing letters to Gwendolyn and he kept this up every day.  Writing the letters helped him with the grief.
Within a year of Gwendolyn’s death, Alfred started to see her in his dreams.  She was begging him to let go and move on.  He said that he could not let go.  After a few dreams, Alfred decided to let go of his beloved and moved to another province.  However, he still had the memories of Gwendolyn.
THE END.

A forbidin love

part 1

reiko tokuawa was
the first and youngest
female shogun to rule japan.
well versed in the martial arts
tall
beautiful
long black hair
painted up beautifully
like a china doll.

she was the
most powerful woman in japan.

part 2

setsuska goro
a short and simple girl
with a beautiful face
that does not need to be painted.
silky brown hair
tied up in a pony tail.

when growing up
setsuska
lived in a poor family
and was forced to
sell her body.

one night
while drunk
setsuska was attacked
by a villianous man.

it is at this time
that setsuska took it upon herself
to learn sword play.

one day
setsuska the ronin
was a ball of fury
in a fight
and was noticed by the shogun herself.

part 3

that day
reiko noticed the young fighter
and recruited her into her arm.
" such rebellious fire
and fury,"
reiko thought.

reiko
decided to personally
hone setsuska's skills as a swordsman.

reiko's advisors did not like this.
thus they told her to give up on
the young woman.
reiko, being the same age
18
concocted a plan:
she was going to help setsuska
with her training
in the castle garden
at night.

part 4

for every night
reiko helped the young Setsuska Goro
with training in the martial arts.
practically teaching her.

then one night
when the moon was full
everything in the garden was lit up.

it was at this moment
when practicing swordplay
that reiko tokugawa
and
Setsuska Goro
noticed  eachother's beauty.
this is when they fell in love.

when they were done practicing
reiko and setsuska
gentally kissed
in the castle garden.

knowing that their love was kinjiru
they hid their relationship
from everyone.

within months
the two young women
had to go separate ways:
reiko continued to rule japan
and
setsuska began teaching swordplay
to others.

however... they both continued to see eachother
in the castle garden
where they would kiss
until the moon was high
in the nightsky.

they thought their love will
conguer all.
how wrong they were.

Part 5

a year after
their fateful meeting
a woman
noticed two women samurai
kissing in an alley
behind a gambling den.

the woman recognised reiko.
reiko not being able to explain
looked at the angry woman
and setsuska who was crying.

a steady stream of tears
followed from setsuska's eyes
as she was running
out the alley.
reiko never saw setsuska again.

Part 6

within a few days
after the incident in the alley
reiko did not see
or hear from setsuska.

worried reiko
had her men to find out
where setsuska lived.
whe they found out
they took reiko there.

setsuska lived in a shack
behind another gambling den.
the place was a pathetic  sight.
when reiko walked in
she was greeted by the metalic smell of blood.

reiko found setsuska lying
lying on the ground
in a pool of her own blood.

when leaving
reiko found a letter
a letter by setsuska.
it was a suicide note.
usually samurai write a death poem
before committing sepukku.

"my beloved reiko
how i love thee
my lady i cannot bear the shame
the shame of  being a shameful secret
i love thee too much
too much to meet thou at night
or in an alley behind a gambling den.
i cry as i write knowing
knowing that i will commit sepukku
out of love.
fare well my love and my lady."

when reading this letter
reiko noticed darker dots on the paper.
tear drops.
when realized this
she was crying.
sobbing.

Part 7

after the funreal
reiko scatter setsuska's ashes
all over the castle garden
where they first kissed.
this is when reiko decided
to commit sepukku.

she was already
to commit suicide
when one of her retainers ran in to stop her.
he took the wakazashi from her
and held her tight
withinhis arms.

while reiko was being held
she cried
cried until she felt better.
the reiko decided
to move on.
tis hard
but she will manage... somehow

Autum Leaves

part 1

one fine autum night
when the moon was full and big.
in japan
a warlord was preparing for battle
the ultimate battle
to determine who will be
shogun.
the warlord, Ieyasu Tokugawa
sent his ninjas
to spy on the enemy.

lead by hanzo hattori
the ninjas sneaked up
and listened to the enemy.
once they got the information
they had to leave
for they might be found.

hopping from one branch
to another
they made their way to edo castle.
hanzo crept in
and reported to his lord.
now with the information
ieyasu and his generals
concocted a plan.

part2

the plan was this:
four great generals
were to go
into the frontlines
to distract the enemy.
while ieyasu
and hanzo
made a pinscer
and killed the enemy warlord
and take their main camp.

this plan was discussed
in the moon light
in the castle garden.

Part 3

the castle garden
lit up by the full moon
had a calming effect
on ieyasu.
thus he can think clearly
about the battle next day.

Part4

the day of the battle
in sekigahara
the autum leaves
blow in the wind
some falling
like men in battle.
what a thought.

Part 5

the battle was bloody.
just a blood bath.
so much blood.
the four generals
did their job
but only two
emerged from the battle.
so much death
and chaos.
how can anyone
start a new japan?

Part 6

now
ieyasu and his ninja
hanzo hattori
exicute the pinscer attack
soon he will be shogun.
just one little pest
to worry about.

when they enter
the enemy's main camp.
they brutally kill
the opposing warlord.
and the blood
it was everywhere.

Part 7

ieyasu, now standing
over the beheaded enemy
with sword in hand
with blood
blood dripping off it.
he now realizes
he is now shogun.

now he is ruler
of all the land
making a
new japan.
ieyasu was
just a simple warlord.
a daimyo.

now he returns
to edo castle
the new shogun.
